Things she would like you to keep in mind:
1: Ignore the sock lines- I will not have sock lines on my wedding day
2: I'm concerned the criss-crossiness of the one pair is too much for the pattern of the dress
3: I'm concerned the second pair are too shiny and will make me look like wonder woman
4: The taller heal of pair #1 might be problematic for an outdoor wedding, but they make my calves look really good
5: The second pair is more comfortable.SHOE 1

SHOE 2

I have placed my vote for shoe #2 as I think they are more conducive to an outdoor wedding and they look good on her feet. They will also look so so good with the dress (I guess you'll have to trust me on this). I've advised her that she can help cut down the wonder woman shiny-ness by rubbing the leather with some translucent face powder. The powder will wipe off easily for when she dresses up as Wonder Woman on their honeymoon. Huzzah!
My reasoning for not going with pair #1 is that I can't get into the thick-strapped sandal-type shoes (not just those--all of them) b/c my grandma used to wear them ALL THE BLOODY TIME so I can't get "orthopedic" out of my head. But please....I could be completely wrong. Cause that's sort of maybe happened before and stuff....
Also, Nic's really good (and gorgeous) friend, Lissa has put up a blog for the wedding. You should go check it out! Tell her I sent ya :-)

#2... all the way. They will look better in wedding photos. Trust me.
Plus the fact that they are more comfortable. Most brides end up taking off the "cute" shoes because they hurt.
#2, #2, #2. Love them much more than #1.
Hi, I surfed over from Dutch Blitz and definitely feel that this is a no brainer, #2 for sure. They are much more "modern" than the other pair.
I would go with #2. There is no way you want to be in foot pain on your wedding day.
Best wishes by the way!!
Two, two, two! No question about it.
Definitely shoe two!
ooohhh I miss Footwear Friday
I VOTE NUMBER 2!
And for once, I am not talking about poop.
Nothing makes a woman crankier than sore feet. Go with the comfort, Nic.
And, congratulations! I hope we get to see the dress afterwards.
shoe two! for sure. seems a little daintier and more wedding like. yeah for pretty wedding shoes!
#1: They make your calves look good. 'Nuff said.
Of course, what I know about women's fashions, especially shoes, can be written on the inside of a matchbook with a grease pencil. And not one of the thin grease pencils. The really, really think kind of grease pencil.
So in reality, #2 is probably the way to go.

Hi! I linked over from Dutch Blitz today and had to vote for #2, no question about it. I wore a wedding shoe much like #1 and my feet were in serious pain before we even got to the reception. Comfort is paramount! (And I happen to think the #2 pair is cuter anyway, so it's a win-win.)
Definitely #2. The criss cross things look like my German grandma's orthopedic shoes. Go for looks AND comfort.
I'm in the same boat...I vote #2. I agree that the others look like a pair my grandmother has.
Two!!!
And I hope we get to see the dress, too :D
Number Two. One should look like and feel like wonder woman at one's wedding.
Wow- thanks for all the input everyone! Number 2 it is! There will definitely be lots of pictures and you can see your shoe choice in action. Lissa is going to post of video on her blog, so you can see the happy occasion and check out the OT performing her officiant duties.
Thanks again!
I'm late...but I'd have voted for #2.
Definitely Shoe #2. Unless she WANTS to look like a little old woman and has lots of sweaters she can layer over her wedding dress. Old ladies get chilled really easily. I hear.
i'm late too, but i vote for number two.... classier, um more classy, shoe and comfort is most important in footwear! 'specially when you have much better things to consern yourself with, not sore feet or OMG blisters!
#2 is the way to go.
i really like them a lot
